Chilly!

Is anyone else out there enjoying this cool weather? I love this time of year when you can sleep with your windows open and it's downright chilly! Especially when you are having hot flashes!

Here are a couple of pictures of our United Way Kitchen basket. Chris is busy arranging the items. I took these pictures before we shrink-wrapped it. We had a lot of boxed appliances that wouldn't fit in the basket. All-in-all, I think it turned out great!I watched Dancing with the Stars tonight - at least the first part of it. Did you see Marie Osmond collapse right after her performance? Scary! I'm glad she was okay, and thought she did better than the 21 score she received. Oh well, guess I'm prejudiced since I'm a long-time Osmond fan! Hopefully she won't be the one voted off this week.

I chose to start reading my Debbie Macomber book. I haven't read much, but it's starting out good.

And we have actress Lauren Bacall to thank for today's quote: "I think your whole life shows in your face and you should be proud of that."

I'm trying desperately NOT to let my whole life show in my face! Nice picture of me...at least I like my hair. I saw Marie drop like a sack of potatoes. It made me jump!

And Chris' hair is looking really good. I really liked the stacked look in the back.

Thanks for the fab comments about my hair! I will pass along to Michelle, who gets all the credit for it looking hot.

VACATION

On vacation for a few days (return to work on Thursday)...here's where I wish I was... I plan on enjoying some peace and quiet...and possibly, if I get motivated, getting some cleaning and organizing done in the office area of the basement. We'll see if that motivation arrives (it's not here yet)... Good news for Park City residents...recycling came to town the first of January. We are charged $4.00 month (added onto our already high water bill); but it has lowered the price of our trash pickup. The company P.C. contracted with has a much lower price than the company we use. Our company matched the price, so our trash bills went down (considerably) AND we get to recycle. We can recycle almost all our plastics, newspapers, cardboard, aluminum cans, cereal boxes, glass, motor oil, etc. We've got two big bags to set out tomorrow. Just doin' our part for the environment. We are without hot water right now...our hot water heater needs a new thermo-couple? It's a fair

Isn't This Gross?

Corby lets Muffin drink out of his milk glass. Isn't that disgusting? I love animals, but I sure don't share my drinks with them. YUCK! Brandon will be home tomorrow - on his 19th birthday! His last final is at 12:30. Corby & Kaleb are headed up to help him bring his stuff home. I was planning on going, but because Hope is out on medical leave, I can't take off. That's okay - I really wasn't looking forward to carrying his stuff down 7 flights of stairs! YIPPEE - MY BABY IS COMING HOME FOR THE SUMMER! Does anyone else out there love "House Hunters" - the show on HGTV? For some reason, that show grabs me. I like to see the 3 houses the couples (sometimes singles) choose from. Of course, most of them have a lot more money than we do! Saw one last night that was a young couple in Chicago - lived in the inner city, but with 2 kids decided to move to the suburbs. Their goal was to find a house for under $1,000,000. That a million dollars folks! How can peop
