Stampin' Up Fun

Went to my sister-in-law's Stampin' Up open house this afternoon. Sandy is a SU demonstrator extraordinaire! She is WAY "craftier" than I am! Her cards and scrapbook pages are beautiful. Anyway, I've been in her Stampin' clubs for several years, but sat out this past year (they usually run September through June). Today she was selling retired stamp sets - some new, some used. We also got to make a card:If you signed up for one of her clubs (one you agree to spend $15/mo. for 10 months - one you agree to spend $30 every other month for 5 months) you got their new catalog ($9.95 value) for free! (Can you tell I've already "post-it noted" some pages?) I signed up for the $30 every other month club again (me bad girl!). One perk of the club is that one of the months you are the hostess and get a hostess set plus $15 worth of product! She has classes at her house (in Benton) throughout the year, AND a hostess appreciation party at the end of the year. It's a great way to pick up stamping and scrapbooking supplies. Anyway, this is a plug for Sandy and her clubs! Let me know if you are interested in joining. Her card classes throughout the year cost $7.50 - you get to make 4 season/month appropriate cards. I have some coupons for $2.50 off a class if you'd like to try it. You don't have to belong to a club to go to her classes.

And my niece Michelle made some great chocolate chip cookies for the open house! Thanks Michelle, I didn't need them, but they were yummy!

I know there are folks out there who read my blog, at least once in a while. Would you please do me a favor? Would you make a comment every now and then? It's easy...just click on comment, and if you don't have any of the accounts set up that are listed, you can post as "anonymous". Just identify yourself in the comment. I'd like to know how many people out there are actually reading my blog, albeit occasionally. THANKS!

Margaritaville!

We had a wonderful get-together at On the Border this afternoon. The margaritas were great! Of course, I was the only one drinking - and I'm not even much of a drinker. It was great seeing my niece, Lenore and my nephew, Nick. Even though Nick lives here, I don't get to see him much, as his work hours prevent us from seeing much of each other. We did make a pact to get together and see a movie over the Thankgiving holiday. We will be going to Oklahoma on Thanksgiving to spend it with Charles, but I'll have to come back Thanksgiving night as I have to work on Friday. Here are some pictures from our afternoon out. Kaleb with Nick (Brandon provided Kaleb's rabbit ears)... Kaitlin and Brandon Mom, Terry, Sandy and Lenore Lenore and Mike Ryan and Diana Diana in her Garth t-shirt (I can't wait until tomorrow night!) Me with my sister Rhonda Mom and Lenore THE WHOLE CREW minus me - I'd rather be taking the picture! We are childless tonight, as Brandon went to a concert...
