Styx and more...

Mom fell early Tuesday morning, but thankfully didn't break anything. Her hips are a bit sore, but the x-ray showed nothing was broken. I stopped to check on her after a dentist appointment on Wednesday.

My niece, Lenore and her husband, Daniel, signed with an agent this week. Lenore has been writing a YA (Young Adult) novel, as well as working on humorous picture books manuscripts with Daniel! Very proud of them, and hope this leads to their books being published!

Melody and I went to see Styx last night at First Council Casino in Newkirk, OK. It's just over the border south of Arkansas City, so it didn't take long to get there. The opening act was a band out of OKC - Stonewater. They were really good, so we went together and bought their CD. Styx ROCKED as usual.

They even played some songs off their earlier albums. The sound was awesome. It was difficult to see them as it was all floor seats, and we had a lot of tall people in front of us. But still, it was a lot of fun!

Here we are in line before they opened the doors...

VACATION

On vacation for a few days (return to work on Thursday)...here's where I wish I was... I plan on enjoying some peace and quiet...and possibly, if I get motivated, getting some cleaning and organizing done in the office area of the basement. We'll see if that motivation arrives (it's not here yet)... Good news for Park City residents...recycling came to town the first of January. We are charged $4.00 month (added onto our already high water bill); but it has lowered the price of our trash pickup. The company P.C. contracted with has a much lower price than the company we use. Our company matched the price, so our trash bills went down (considerably) AND we get to recycle. We can recycle almost all our plastics, newspapers, cardboard, aluminum cans, cereal boxes, glass, motor oil, etc. We've got two big bags to set out tomorrow. Just doin' our part for the environment. We are without hot water right now...our hot water heater needs a new thermo-couple? It's a fair

Isn't This Gross?

Corby lets Muffin drink out of his milk glass. Isn't that disgusting? I love animals, but I sure don't share my drinks with them. YUCK! Brandon will be home tomorrow - on his 19th birthday! His last final is at 12:30. Corby & Kaleb are headed up to help him bring his stuff home. I was planning on going, but because Hope is out on medical leave, I can't take off. That's okay - I really wasn't looking forward to carrying his stuff down 7 flights of stairs! YIPPEE - MY BABY IS COMING HOME FOR THE SUMMER! Does anyone else out there love "House Hunters" - the show on HGTV? For some reason, that show grabs me. I like to see the 3 houses the couples (sometimes singles) choose from. Of course, most of them have a lot more money than we do! Saw one last night that was a young couple in Chicago - lived in the inner city, but with 2 kids decided to move to the suburbs. Their goal was to find a house for under $1,000,000. That a million dollars folks! How can peop
