UNO anyone?

The kids and I had great fun tonight playing UNO. Since they are all working now, we rarely have time to play games. We had quite a few laughs, especially at our in-house comedian - Kaleb! He's quite the cut-up, could probably be a stand-up comedian someday.

We made a trip to Home Depot this morning to get items needed for Kaitlin's painting of the bathroom in the basement. I picked up the paint the other day - Mike mixed it for us. It is bright turquoise. We are accenting with lime green and orange towels, and a bright pink shower curtain. I'm anxious to see how it will look when it is finished. I will try to post a picture (if I remember)!!!

I am getting things together for a garage sale. I keep changing my mind on whether or not I really want to do one. Our neighbors, Paul & Tokeah, are having one; and they offered to let me put things in theirs, but I think I've just decided to go ahead and do one here. I don't have tons of stuff, but I do have some scrapbooking things, magazines, books, clothes, and a few knick knacks. Since the city-wide sale is next Saturday, guess I better get busy!

Mom seemed to be having a better day today - after a miserable Fri. & Sat. due to "toilet" maintenance issues with her apartment. It ended up just needing the flapper replaced, which they did not have time to do on Friday afternoon; and she's not too happy that she has to wait until Tues. to get it fixed. She tends to stress about things, and this was something she DEFINITELY stressed about!

My latest musical enjoyment? Donny Osmond's Love Songs from the 70's! Yep, once an Osmond fan, always an Osmond fan! Very enjoyable CD - especially for all of us who were teens+ in the 70's!

My latest book: The Third Victim by Lisa Gardner. I've read several of her books and have enjoyed them. This one is starting out pretty good.

VACATION

On vacation for a few days (return to work on Thursday)...here's where I wish I was... I plan on enjoying some peace and quiet...and possibly, if I get motivated, getting some cleaning and organizing done in the office area of the basement. We'll see if that motivation arrives (it's not here yet)... Good news for Park City residents...recycling came to town the first of January. We are charged $4.00 month (added onto our already high water bill); but it has lowered the price of our trash pickup. The company P.C. contracted with has a much lower price than the company we use. Our company matched the price, so our trash bills went down (considerably) AND we get to recycle. We can recycle almost all our plastics, newspapers, cardboard, aluminum cans, cereal boxes, glass, motor oil, etc. We've got two big bags to set out tomorrow. Just doin' our part for the environment. We are without hot water right now...our hot water heater needs a new thermo-couple? It's a fair

Isn't This Gross?

Corby lets Muffin drink out of his milk glass. Isn't that disgusting? I love animals, but I sure don't share my drinks with them. YUCK! Brandon will be home tomorrow - on his 19th birthday! His last final is at 12:30. Corby & Kaleb are headed up to help him bring his stuff home. I was planning on going, but because Hope is out on medical leave, I can't take off. That's okay - I really wasn't looking forward to carrying his stuff down 7 flights of stairs! YIPPEE - MY BABY IS COMING HOME FOR THE SUMMER! Does anyone else out there love "House Hunters" - the show on HGTV? For some reason, that show grabs me. I like to see the 3 houses the couples (sometimes singles) choose from. Of course, most of them have a lot more money than we do! Saw one last night that was a young couple in Chicago - lived in the inner city, but with 2 kids decided to move to the suburbs. Their goal was to find a house for under $1,000,000. That a million dollars folks! How can peop
