February Book List and...

I read 9 books in February...

Shelter Me by Juliette Fay
Midnight Sons, Vol. 1 by Debbie Macomber
Show No Fear by Perri O'Shaughnessy
Final Justice by Fern Michaels
Virgin River by Robyn Carr
Shelter Mountain by Robyn Carr
Whispering Rock by Robyn Carr
Run For Your Life by James Patterson & Michael Ledwidge
While My Sister Sleeps by Barbara Delinsky

I'm on a Robyn Carr kick. I hadn't read any of her books until I started her Virgin River series. I found out about them from one of the book reviewer blogs that I read. I'm between books right now and have about 20 (more like 60 or 70) to choose from. I think I'll put 5 in a pile, shut my eyes and pick one.

Had lunch today with some co-workers and former co-workers at Emerson Biggin's.

Here's Ronnie, Candi and Jennifer.
Here's Becky, Shenny and Sach. Here's Kay, Vickie and Darci. It was great seeing my former co-workers. They are all doing well.

Here's Abby's latest pose. For some reason, she likes sitting in the top basket of a wrought iron 3-tier rack I have. The plastic protector actually belongs to another basket, but she squeezes herself in there. And since I'm posting a picture of Abby, I must also post one of Muffin. If you look close enough you can see her tongue - she was digging the ice cream!Today's music was Kenny Loggin's Greatest Hits. It's been a long time since I listened to it. Now I can't quit singing Footloose!

I'll end with a quote: "To have a good friend is the purest of all God's gifts." -- Frances Farmer

It's easy...just click on comment, and if you don't have any of the accounts set up that are listed, you can post as "anonymous". Just identify yourself in the comment. I'd like to know how many people out there are actually reading my blog, albeit occasionally. THANKS!

VACATION

On vacation for a few days (return to work on Thursday)...here's where I wish I was... I plan on enjoying some peace and quiet...and possibly, if I get motivated, getting some cleaning and organizing done in the office area of the basement. We'll see if that motivation arrives (it's not here yet)... Good news for Park City residents...recycling came to town the first of January. We are charged $4.00 month (added onto our already high water bill); but it has lowered the price of our trash pickup. The company P.C. contracted with has a much lower price than the company we use. Our company matched the price, so our trash bills went down (considerably) AND we get to recycle. We can recycle almost all our plastics, newspapers, cardboard, aluminum cans, cereal boxes, glass, motor oil, etc. We've got two big bags to set out tomorrow. Just doin' our part for the environment. We are without hot water right now...our hot water heater needs a new thermo-couple? It's a fair

Isn't This Gross?

Corby lets Muffin drink out of his milk glass. Isn't that disgusting? I love animals, but I sure don't share my drinks with them. YUCK! Brandon will be home tomorrow - on his 19th birthday! His last final is at 12:30. Corby & Kaleb are headed up to help him bring his stuff home. I was planning on going, but because Hope is out on medical leave, I can't take off. That's okay - I really wasn't looking forward to carrying his stuff down 7 flights of stairs! YIPPEE - MY BABY IS COMING HOME FOR THE SUMMER! Does anyone else out there love "House Hunters" - the show on HGTV? For some reason, that show grabs me. I like to see the 3 houses the couples (sometimes singles) choose from. Of course, most of them have a lot more money than we do! Saw one last night that was a young couple in Chicago - lived in the inner city, but with 2 kids decided to move to the suburbs. Their goal was to find a house for under $1,000,000. That a million dollars folks! How can peop
