The Chair

The phone rang at 9am this morning. It was mom. She was looking for her white jacket and couldn't find it. She remembered she took it with us yesterday - chair shopping and to lunch. We concluded she had left it at Long John Silver's. After calling to confirm that's what happened (it was), I picked it up and took it to her. Thus - I was able to get this picture of her in her new chair...
Other than that, today has been fairly relaxing. Corby had the laundry separated for me by the time I got home, and I have the last load in the dryer now. I've gotten bills paid, filing done, and am now working on the Sunday crossword. Corby is grilling flat-iron steak for dinner. We're having homemade fajitas. Yum...lunch was some of our fresh home-grown tomatoes with cottage cheese, sugar free jello and a banana.

I wish it would just rain and get it over with. The air is so thick with humidity it's hard to even step outside.

VACATION

On vacation for a few days (return to work on Thursday)...here's where I wish I was... I plan on enjoying some peace and quiet...and possibly, if I get motivated, getting some cleaning and organizing done in the office area of the basement. We'll see if that motivation arrives (it's not here yet)... Good news for Park City residents...recycling came to town the first of January. We are charged $4.00 month (added onto our already high water bill); but it has lowered the price of our trash pickup. The company P.C. contracted with has a much lower price than the company we use. Our company matched the price, so our trash bills went down (considerably) AND we get to recycle. We can recycle almost all our plastics, newspapers, cardboard, aluminum cans, cereal boxes, glass, motor oil, etc. We've got two big bags to set out tomorrow. Just doin' our part for the environment. We are without hot water right now...our hot water heater needs a new thermo-couple? It's a fair

Isn't This Gross?

Corby lets Muffin drink out of his milk glass. Isn't that disgusting? I love animals, but I sure don't share my drinks with them. YUCK! Brandon will be home tomorrow - on his 19th birthday! His last final is at 12:30. Corby & Kaleb are headed up to help him bring his stuff home. I was planning on going, but because Hope is out on medical leave, I can't take off. That's okay - I really wasn't looking forward to carrying his stuff down 7 flights of stairs! YIPPEE - MY BABY IS COMING HOME FOR THE SUMMER! Does anyone else out there love "House Hunters" - the show on HGTV? For some reason, that show grabs me. I like to see the 3 houses the couples (sometimes singles) choose from. Of course, most of them have a lot more money than we do! Saw one last night that was a young couple in Chicago - lived in the inner city, but with 2 kids decided to move to the suburbs. Their goal was to find a house for under $1,000,000. That a million dollars folks! How can peop
