Beautiful Sunday

Now THIS is spring! I love this weather. It would be nice if the wind would calm down, but hey, I'm not complaining...

Had to go to Border's today and pick up a book for the twins. They are taking the AP Calculus test at Heights the first of May. If they pass the test, it counts as college credit. YIPPEE! Anyway, their teacher told them about this study guide that would be really helpful, so Corby and I ran out to Border's to get it since the twins both had to work today. We got the last copy. It was 19 bucks! Pretty cheap if it helps them pass a test that will give them college credit!

Spent the rest of the day getting some things done around the house - both inside and out! I also got Brandon's federal and state taxes done. Got the rest of our taxes done a few weeks ago, but he forgot to bring his W-2 from Dillon's when he was home for spring break, so I had to wait until he sent it to me. Thank goodness he's getting a little bit of money back this year. Believe it or not, he had to pay last year!

We are still reflecting in the glory of KU's win against North Carolina last night. I imagine the bars are gonna be hoppin' around here tomorrow night. I think we'll watch the game in the peace and quiet of our own home.

Kaitlin has decided to ask for less hours at work for the next 6 weeks. She's been pretty stressed with homework and tests, and since she works about 25 hours a week it's been hard for her to get all her homework done. She's one of those kids who needs her 8 or 9 hours of sleep at night! It wasn't that way when she was little. None of our kids slept in when they were young. They were up every day at 6 or 6:30am. Consequently, we never got to sleep in either. Now we all enjoy sleeping in until at least 8 or 9 on the weekends!

Today's music is Keith Urban's greatest hits. YUM!

VACATION

On vacation for a few days (return to work on Thursday)...here's where I wish I was... I plan on enjoying some peace and quiet...and possibly, if I get motivated, getting some cleaning and organizing done in the office area of the basement. We'll see if that motivation arrives (it's not here yet)... Good news for Park City residents...recycling came to town the first of January. We are charged $4.00 month (added onto our already high water bill); but it has lowered the price of our trash pickup. The company P.C. contracted with has a much lower price than the company we use. Our company matched the price, so our trash bills went down (considerably) AND we get to recycle. We can recycle almost all our plastics, newspapers, cardboard, aluminum cans, cereal boxes, glass, motor oil, etc. We've got two big bags to set out tomorrow. Just doin' our part for the environment. We are without hot water right now...our hot water heater needs a new thermo-couple? It's a fair

K-STATE WINS!

K-STATE beat KU! AWESOME! It was a tense game. Corby is a huge KU fan, and even having a son at K-State hasn't changed that. I am happy when any Kansas team does well; but I had to root for K-State tonight. If the Jayhawks had to lose, I'm glad it was to K-State. Michael Beasley is a great player, and my only concern is that he will leave after his freshman year and go pro. WAY TO GO CATS!
