Even though I miss Brandon terribly, it gets a bit easier with each day. Of course, I talked to him Sunday and Monday. I told him last night that I wouldn't call him for a few days unless something came up. He was online a while ago playing video games with Kaleb. He told Kaleb that the food is good, and the girls in his dorm (separate wing) are cute! HA! Here's a picture of Brandon and Brady the afternoon we moved them in. They were just a tad sweaty!Corby and I are carpooling this week. We can only carpool every other week, when I don't have to stay late to paginate classified.
I made a doctor's appointment for Kaleb tomorrow. He's been having bloody noses fairly regularly, and I want to have his blood pressure checked. Corby's family has notoriously high blood pressure, and he had to take medicine for a while in his teens. I'm hoping it turns out to be something with his sinuses.
Woo hoo...Brandon just called! Okay, so he wanted to talk to Kaleb about a problem with a video game, but I got him first! So I grilled him about his classes. He said the calculus class is tough (this being said after 1 class and 1 recitation - where a grad students help them with questions, etc.) but they can do their homework online. They have to get 5 points by answering 5 questions, but they can keep at it until they get 5 correct. He worked at it for 2 hours today and finally got all 5. Hey, I'm glad he kept working at it until he got all 5 - some kids probably would have said 3 or 4 correct was good enough! GO BRANDON! He's going to go look for a job tomorrow afternoon, his last class tomorrow is at 12:30. He'll go to Dillons again, and plans on going to Best Buy, Target, etc. Everyone please pray that he gets a job. Not only does he WANT to work, but he NEEDS to work!
Current book: Dockside by Susan Wiggs. I just finished "The Quickie" by James Patterson, and J.A. Jance's latest book. I can't remember the name of it, but it was good. I took them both back to the library today.
Current music: Believe it or not I've been listening to T-95, the hard-heavy-metal-alternative rock station. I've been enjoying it too. Maybe subconsciously I'm enjoying it because it's Brandon's favorite kind of music! He had me listen to a hard-rock Christian group, Skillet, last week; and I really liked it!
