DWTS Shocker!

Shock, shock, shock! I've certainly been open about my support of Marie Osmond on Dancing with the Stars, but I must say, seeing Cheetah girl eliminated last night was a shock! I thought either Marie or Jane Seymour would be leaving. I guess it goes to show you that there are not only a ton of Osmonds out there, but tons of Osmond fans! So, I'm still rooting for Marie!
We didn't have many trick-or-treaters tonight. When we first moved to Park City, we would have tons. I guess most folks now take kids to their churches, etc.

Corby will be going back down to Oklahoma this Friday afternoon to sign some paperwork for Charles. Charles is getting all of his affairs in order, as his health deteriorates. It's sure hard to see someone you love dying of cancer. We lost my dad in 1994, and Corby's mom last year, but both were sudden and unexpected. While it's hard to deal with the shock when you lose someone like that, I think it's harder when you see someone suffering! Charles, you continue to be in our thoughts and prayers!
Music for today is the new Eagles CD: Long Road out of Eden. AWESOME CD! I've been waiting a lot of years for new Eagles music. It sure doesn't disappoint!

Oh yeah, our other big news! My brother and sister-in-law ended up with 3 extra tickets to Garth Brooks' Nov. 12 show in KC. I bought them, and Brandon, Kaleb and I are going! YIPPEE! I didn't try to get tickets when we thought it was just the Nov. 14 show, and I was out of town when the selling frenzy ended in 9 concerts being sold-out! So, even though it is kind of a pain to go on a Monday night, we're gonna do it!

Today's quote, in honor of my wonderful sons Brandon and Kaleb: "You don't raise heroes, you raise sons. And if you treat them like sons, they'll turn out to be heroes, even if it's just in your eyes." -- Walter Schirra, Sr.

I just watched the DWTS shocker episode last night. I think Sabrina knew she was going home. She looked sick throughout the whole show and didn't cry like I expected her to when they announced it. I thought it was kinda weird. I think it's time for Jane to go next.

I have to agree. Jane's age is finally showing. I guess Marie's is too, but man, I couldn't do what they're doing!

What's Good

Here's what's good right now: 1. Corby's OKAY after an accident at work today! He was on the forklift pulling onto a truck when the truck driver pulled away from the dock apparently to reallign himself (WHAT AN IDIOT DRIVER!!!) and he fell off the dock. Thank goodness there is a roll-bar on those forklifts. He has a headache and will probably be stiff tomorrow, but says he is okay. They sent him for a drug test. It's their policy if someone has an accident at work. 2. Feeling much better. I'm about 75% well now. Still have a cough and some sinus issues, but I think I'll survive. 3. Spending today with Kaleb & Kaitlin. 4. Having such good kids. Leeker's just called Kaitlin to see if she'd work longer hours today. They have a lot of employees out sick. She was supposed to work 4-8, but volunteered to work 2-9. Here's a pat on the back hon! 5. Enjoying some Josh Groban music. 6. Cleaning out my file cabinet and getting ready for 2008. I know, I...
