Miami Vice semi-marathon!

I have such a sweet husband and kids. They've been taking good care of me since I've felt like crap since Thursday night. Corby and Kaleb even went and visited mom today. I didn't think I should drag myself there and give everybody the flu. They had a good visit. While they were gone Kaitlin babied me until she went to work at noon, and even put a Miami Vice DVD on for me to watch. It was from season 5, and Sonny Crockett had gone so far undercover he didn't remember he was a cop. It was 2 episodes, and man did it bring back the 80's. That music! That hair! Those sockless feet! That tanned face! The Miami beaches! Yep, I'm still hooked on Don J.

Of course, then Corby got home and we had to switch to the KU game. That's okay. I couldn't sit in the recliner any longer. Now I'm off to bed for a while. Try to stay healthy, blogger buddies!

I never got into Miami Vice. Maybe it was on ABC? We didn't get that channel when I was growing up (only NBC and CBS). Believe it or not, my parents still can't get the local ABC signal (very fuzzy when if it ever comes in) even though all the neighbors around get it. They must live in an ABC black hole.

Sorry you're feeling poorly. Good for Kaitlin for taking such good care of you. Hang in there!

VACATION

On vacation for a few days (return to work on Thursday)...here's where I wish I was... I plan on enjoying some peace and quiet...and possibly, if I get motivated, getting some cleaning and organizing done in the office area of the basement. We'll see if that motivation arrives (it's not here yet)... Good news for Park City residents...recycling came to town the first of January. We are charged $4.00 month (added onto our already high water bill); but it has lowered the price of our trash pickup. The company P.C. contracted with has a much lower price than the company we use. Our company matched the price, so our trash bills went down (considerably) AND we get to recycle. We can recycle almost all our plastics, newspapers, cardboard, aluminum cans, cereal boxes, glass, motor oil, etc. We've got two big bags to set out tomorrow. Just doin' our part for the environment. We are without hot water right now...our hot water heater needs a new thermo-couple? It's a fair

K-STATE WINS!

K-STATE beat KU! AWESOME! It was a tense game. Corby is a huge KU fan, and even having a son at K-State hasn't changed that. I am happy when any Kansas team does well; but I had to root for K-State tonight. If the Jayhawks had to lose, I'm glad it was to K-State. Michael Beasley is a great player, and my only concern is that he will leave after his freshman year and go pro. WAY TO GO CATS!
