What's Good

Here's what's good right now:

1. Corby's OKAY after an accident at work today! He was on the forklift pulling onto a truck when the truck driver pulled away from the dock apparently to reallign himself (WHAT AN IDIOT DRIVER!!!) and he fell off the dock. Thank goodness there is a roll-bar on those forklifts. He has a headache and will probably be stiff tomorrow, but says he is okay. They sent him for a drug test. It's their policy if someone has an accident at work.
2. Feeling much better. I'm about 75% well now. Still have a cough and some sinus issues, but I think I'll survive.
3. Spending today with Kaleb & Kaitlin.
4. Having such good kids. Leeker's just called Kaitlin to see if she'd work longer hours today. They have a lot of employees out sick. She was supposed to work 4-8, but volunteered to work 2-9. Here's a pat on the back hon!
5. Enjoying some Josh Groban music.
6. Cleaning out my file cabinet and getting ready for 2008. I know, I'm only a month and a half late!
7. Recycling! Park City started recycling in January, and we are recycling everything we possibly can. Doing what little we can to save our environment.
8. Organizing my CD stash.
9. Kaitlin cleaned her room!!!! (The cats are pretty darn excited!)
10. The Keith Urban concert is only a little over 2 weeks away!

I'm going to see Keith and Carey also! Where are your seats?

we are totally up at the top - straight back from the stage. Where are your seats?

We are on the right side of the stage. I think my friend got us pretty good seats. She was the first in line to buy as soon as they started selling. The ticket was my birthday present from my friend Rachel. I'm super excited!

I'm jealous Jennifer. I love Keith Urban but am not a Carrie Underwood fan. We didn't have the money when tickets first went on sale, so I decided last minute and of course, that's why we're so high up.

I don't think it matters much where you are... as long as you can hear. lol.

VACATION

On vacation for a few days (return to work on Thursday)...here's where I wish I was... I plan on enjoying some peace and quiet...and possibly, if I get motivated, getting some cleaning and organizing done in the office area of the basement. We'll see if that motivation arrives (it's not here yet)... Good news for Park City residents...recycling came to town the first of January. We are charged $4.00 month (added onto our already high water bill); but it has lowered the price of our trash pickup. The company P.C. contracted with has a much lower price than the company we use. Our company matched the price, so our trash bills went down (considerably) AND we get to recycle. We can recycle almost all our plastics, newspapers, cardboard, aluminum cans, cereal boxes, glass, motor oil, etc. We've got two big bags to set out tomorrow. Just doin' our part for the environment. We are without hot water right now...our hot water heater needs a new thermo-couple? It's a fair

Fun times with Lenore

While Lenore and Daniel were here, she had a library book panel at the Johnson County Library in Overland Park. So, on Tuesday afternoon, November 27th, Lenore, her friend Rachelle and I took off for KC. We had a great time visiting on the way up and back, and I didn't get tired at all driving! We stopped for a quick bite to eat at Arby's and filled up with gas at QT before heading to the library. It was an interesting panel featuring Bethany Hagen, author of Landry Park, which comes out next year; Gennifer Albin, author of Crewel, which was released a few months ago; and Lenore, whose book will be released on January 15. Here's the panel: Me & Lenore: Lenore & Rachelle: Gennifer, Bethany and Lenore
