You might ask why I'm posting scrapbook pages of a Rascal Flatts concert from 2 years ago. I've written many times on my blog about Kaitlin's passion for RF. She checks their website every day to see where their tour is taking them. When I heard a scream this morning, I wasn't sure what was going on - but Kaitlin soon informed me that Rascal was going to be in Dallas in June, and "MOM, WE JUST HAVE TO GO!" She had not renewed her fan club membership, so of course, that was the first thing we had to do. VIP (fan club) tickets go on sale tomorrow morning. Am I going to indulge her? Of course I am. Do I wish they were performing closer to home? Of course I do. But I know how much this means to her, so we're going - if she gets VIP tickets. We're going to make it a mini family vacation, even if Corby and the boys don't go to the concert.
There are also a couple of concerts coming to the fair that I will be going to. STYX is opening night, and I will definitely be there. The last time they were here, Brandon went with me. Not sure who's going this time, but even if I have to go by myself, I'm there! The second night of the fair is Gary Allan (cowgirl - I bet you're there!) and Blake Shelton. I plan on being at that concert too! I don't think tickets go on sale until May, but I signed up for e-mail newsletters, so I will make sure to get tickets the first day they go on sale.
Between enjoying the beautiful day and getting some things done outside, I've been going through stuff in my scrapbook area. Getting a bunch of stuff together for a garage sale. I'm getting some cabinets/shelves from work to use in this area, so I want to get everything cleared out, cleaned up and organized. I'm not daring enough to post "before" pictures, but when it's all done I'll try to post "after" pictures.
Corby is fixing a good dinner - we'll eat when Kaitlin gets home from work. We're having grilled pork chops, baked potatoes and salad. YUMMY! He even fixed pancakes and sausage for breakfast this morning. Are we lucky or what?
