SOON???

They finally found an engine for my car! It's in Missouri, so by the time they get it here and get it in my car, it will be next week - but at least there is an end to our car drought! The twins, Kaleb especially, have been very gracious in sharing their vehicles. I say Kaleb especially because Kaitlin is VERY territorial about her truck. She doesn't like anybody else to drive it - PERIOD! I'm okay with that for the most part, but sometimes you have to do things to help out the family! I drove Kaleb's car yesterday, and since she went to work at 4, and he went to work at 5, Corby planned on leaving work a little early to get Kaleb to work. However, he had a bad day and couldn't leave, so I had to force Kaitlin to let Kaleb drive her to work, so he could use her truck to go at 5. She doesn't want him driving her truck because he's not used to a really big vehicle. He only drove our old Suburban a couple of times. However, he's a good driver, so she didn't get a choice. You would have thought it was the end of the world. In fact, she hung up on me. Let's just say I don't think she'll EVER hang up on me again!

I just finished Debbie Macomber's latest book - 8 Sandpiper Way. I enjoy her books. Quick reads, great characters!

I just started Fractured by Karin Slaughter. She's another favorite author. The first couple of chapters are action packed and suspenseful...I think it's going to be good.

Corby is flipping back and forth between the Cubs game and the K-State game. He's screaming at both teams, since they are both losing. I just keep turning my music up louder!

And a quote for today: "Sometimes the smallest things take up the most room in your heart." -- Winnie The Pooh

Fun times with Lenore

While Lenore and Daniel were here, she had a library book panel at the Johnson County Library in Overland Park. So, on Tuesday afternoon, November 27th, Lenore, her friend Rachelle and I took off for KC. We had a great time visiting on the way up and back, and I didn't get tired at all driving! We stopped for a quick bite to eat at Arby's and filled up with gas at QT before heading to the library. It was an interesting panel featuring Bethany Hagen, author of Landry Park, which comes out next year; Gennifer Albin, author of Crewel, which was released a few months ago; and Lenore, whose book will be released on January 15. Here's the panel: Me & Lenore: Lenore & Rachelle: Gennifer, Bethany and Lenore

K-STATE WINS!

K-STATE beat KU! AWESOME! It was a tense game. Corby is a huge KU fan, and even having a son at K-State hasn't changed that. I am happy when any Kansas team does well; but I had to root for K-State tonight. If the Jayhawks had to lose, I'm glad it was to K-State. Michael Beasley is a great player, and my only concern is that he will leave after his freshman year and go pro. WAY TO GO CATS!
