Books, Stamps, Scrapbookin' Stuff, Boyds

Most of you know that I am a voracious reader. Here are just a few stacks of books I've got lined up to read. I purchase at least half of the books I read from used book stores and garage sales. The others I buy from book clubs or Amazon. Oh yeah, I also buy quite a few at the Eagle Book Ladies Sale 3 or 4 times a year.
Those are my stacks - here are Corby's stacks. Yes, he only reads cookbooks! Most of you also know that I like to rubber stamp and scrapbook. The cabinets I recently brought home from work (yes-they were given to me!!!) are great for scrapbook/stamp storage.

Here are a couple of drawers of stamps. I have a total of 5 drawers (so far). Here are my stamp pads. I buy mostly Stampin' Up - not only because they're the best - but because my sister-in-law Sandy sells it!Here is a drawer with adhesives, glue dots, etc. It feels great to be organized.Any while I'm showing you some collections, here's part of another collection:
Boyd's Bears! I've been collecting them for 7 or 8 years - plush and porcelain. This is just one shelf in a glass-doored antique cabinet that was my grandmother's.

So what do the rest of you collect? What are your hobbies? SHARE!

I covet your cabinets :-)
We're having a stamp camp at church in Nov. I'll bring you a sheet in case you want to come. I love the Stampin' Up Stuff.

What do I collect? Right now it's rejection letters! No, really, I used to collect Longaberger baskets, but can't afford them anymore. I also used to collect cow things, but I grew out of that.
I love to see piles of books!

VACATION

On vacation for a few days (return to work on Thursday)...here's where I wish I was... I plan on enjoying some peace and quiet...and possibly, if I get motivated, getting some cleaning and organizing done in the office area of the basement. We'll see if that motivation arrives (it's not here yet)... Good news for Park City residents...recycling came to town the first of January. We are charged $4.00 month (added onto our already high water bill); but it has lowered the price of our trash pickup. The company P.C. contracted with has a much lower price than the company we use. Our company matched the price, so our trash bills went down (considerably) AND we get to recycle. We can recycle almost all our plastics, newspapers, cardboard, aluminum cans, cereal boxes, glass, motor oil, etc. We've got two big bags to set out tomorrow. Just doin' our part for the environment. We are without hot water right now...our hot water heater needs a new thermo-couple? It's a fair

Terrible Day

I'm not going to go into a lot of detail here, but suffice it to say that I had a TERRIBLE day at work! I made a huge mistake costing the company some revenue, and I feel awful! I certainly didn't need anyone to get on my butt, because I was kicking myself for the better part of the day. I know, I know, I'm human, but this was a BIG human mistake! I hate to admit that I'm human! HATE TO MAKE MISTAKES - ESPECIALLY BIG ONES! Okay, that's it. I'm having a margarita and trying to relax now. I'm done with being human for a while!
