Huh? You talking to me?

Does anyone else out there have a "deaf" husband? You know, one who not only has selective hearing (yes, guys - you DO have this!) but who doesn't listen to you? For example, tonight, after going out to P.F. Chang's with Kaitlin for dinner, we stopped at Target to do some Christmas shopping. Kaitlin and Corby went one direction, I went another. I was looking for some jeans for the boys. I was successful finding some for Kaleb, but I couldn't find any 34 length for Brandon. When we met back up at the front to check out, I told them I found jeans for Kaleb, but not for Brandon. Not 2 minutes later, while putting things up on the conveyor, Corby said, "oh, you got jeans for Brandon?" Basically, I said "I don't know why I talk, you never listen to me". That was about the third time today we'd had the same conversation! What about you? Does your husband do this? It frustrates me to no end!!!!! I think I'll just go the rest of the evening without talking...shouldn't make a difference since he doesn't listen to me anyway!

Now, on a different subject - P.F. Chang's was great! We'd never been there! The lettuce wraps were wonderful!

I'm making progress on my Christmas shopping. Still have a bit to do, but I hope to have it all done in the next week to 10 days. I've done some shopping online, which I love to do because you can almost always get free shipping! Yeah, Amazon!

Fun times with Lenore

While Lenore and Daniel were here, she had a library book panel at the Johnson County Library in Overland Park. So, on Tuesday afternoon, November 27th, Lenore, her friend Rachelle and I took off for KC. We had a great time visiting on the way up and back, and I didn't get tired at all driving! We stopped for a quick bite to eat at Arby's and filled up with gas at QT before heading to the library. It was an interesting panel featuring Bethany Hagen, author of Landry Park, which comes out next year; Gennifer Albin, author of Crewel, which was released a few months ago; and Lenore, whose book will be released on January 15. Here's the panel: Me & Lenore: Lenore & Rachelle: Gennifer, Bethany and Lenore

K-STATE WINS!

K-STATE beat KU! AWESOME! It was a tense game. Corby is a huge KU fan, and even having a son at K-State hasn't changed that. I am happy when any Kansas team does well; but I had to root for K-State tonight. If the Jayhawks had to lose, I'm glad it was to K-State. Michael Beasley is a great player, and my only concern is that he will leave after his freshman year and go pro. WAY TO GO CATS!
