B-O-R-I-N-G

That's what our lives has been lately. This week has just been work as usual.

However, we ARE trying to spend as much time with the kids as we can. They leave for Manhattan on Aug. 1. Well - we all leave - as Corby and I will be moving them, lock, stock and barrel! I think at least Brandon and Kaitlin are coming home the weekend of August 15th, as there is a concert at the Coliseum that Brandon wants to go to. Kaitlin wants to come home to see her cats! LOL!

I am trying to prepare myself for an empty nest, but I don't think it's possible until it actually happens. I am off work July 30th through August 4th - the 30th & 31st to get the kids packed and ready to go. Then Aug. 3rd & 4th to figure out how we will live without them! We're moving them on August 1st. Kaitlin wants us to spend the night in Manhattan. Since they are renting a house, we can do that if we choose. We'll see what time we get out of here and how long it takes to unload and unpack. I'm gonna miss my babies, that much I know!

My life is boring, too! I've been trying to get caught up on blog reading. Sorry I didn't help you get to 5000 hits! I'm trying to make a blog comeback, though! You'll probably read 3 more books a week when you find yourself in that empty nest! Puts me to shame!

Ahh Linda, your post makes me sad thinking about my own babies leaving someday. I guess the good thing for you is you seem to have such an amazing relatioship with your kids, it's obvious they love you very much! I bet they visit you so much you will soon be asking them, "don't you need to get back to school?"

I-Pod Mania

What's Good

Here's what's good right now: 1. Corby's OKAY after an accident at work today! He was on the forklift pulling onto a truck when the truck driver pulled away from the dock apparently to reallign himself (WHAT AN IDIOT DRIVER!!!) and he fell off the dock. Thank goodness there is a roll-bar on those forklifts. He has a headache and will probably be stiff tomorrow, but says he is okay. They sent him for a drug test. It's their policy if someone has an accident at work. 2. Feeling much better. I'm about 75% well now. Still have a cough and some sinus issues, but I think I'll survive. 3. Spending today with Kaleb & Kaitlin. 4. Having such good kids. Leeker's just called Kaitlin to see if she'd work longer hours today. They have a lot of employees out sick.
