The End of Spring Break

Yesterday was an interesting day in Kansas. We started the day off with some snow - thank goodness we didn't get the 4 to 8 inches they predicted. I would guess that we got about 2 inches at our house. Corby had to work, so the twins and I headed out around 10am. We visited mom and then stocked the kids up with goodies from Sam's. By the time we got home with that load, Corby was home, so he went grocery shopping to Leeker's with us. We picked up a few more groceries for the kids, and then came home and prepared for NCAA basketball. Who would have thought that the KU Jayhawks would lose to Northern Iowa, a Missouri Valley team? Corby was upset, but resigned to the fact by the end of the game. They just didn't play well enough to win. We then settled in for the K-State Wildcats game! Jacob Pullen played an amazing game scoring 34 points, and they beat BYU! On to the SWEET 16!!!

Photos from the last few days:

Kaleb rubbing Cinnamon's tummy, which she loves!

The twins right before they left to head back to Manhattan.

We will miss the kids! It's expensive and noisy (HA!) when they're home, but we cherish our time with them!

What's Good

Here's what's good right now: 1. Corby's OKAY after an accident at work today! He was on the forklift pulling onto a truck when the truck driver pulled away from the dock apparently to reallign himself (WHAT AN IDIOT DRIVER!!!) and he fell off the dock. Thank goodness there is a roll-bar on those forklifts. He has a headache and will probably be stiff tomorrow, but says he is okay. They sent him for a drug test. It's their policy if someone has an accident at work. 2. Feeling much better. I'm about 75% well now. Still have a cough and some sinus issues, but I think I'll survive. 3. Spending today with Kaleb & Kaitlin. 4. Having such good kids. Leeker's just called Kaitlin to see if she'd work longer hours today. They have a lot of employees out sick. She was supposed to work 4-8, but volunteered to work 2-9. Here's a pat on the back hon! 5. Enjoying some Josh Groban music. 6. Cleaning out my file cabinet and getting ready for 2008. I know, I...
