Busy, Busy

Another busy week at work...had a couple of rough days at the beginning of the week, but I made it through. Kaitlin worked extra hours this week helping with a project, and due to her hard work earned a $50 gift card to Dillons! Way to go sweetie!

Corby is really looking forward to some cooler weather. He's been averaging 55 hours a week the last 3 weeks - and with no air conditioning in his warehouse - it's been pretty rough on him. I honestly don't know how he does it! I sweat just running around an air conditioned building at work!

Our outdoor cat, Sugar, is gone. She's been gone for about 10 days now. We don't know what happened to her, but she hasn't been gone even overnight since she was so sick last May. Kaitlin has been to the animal shelter as well as checking with our vet. So sad. She was a good cat.

Brandon is home for a few days. He came home last night, after calling me yesterday afternoon to say he was headed home. He has an eye doctor appt. Tuesday afternoon, but wasn't sure until yesterday that he could get a couple of days off work. He's been working on a big project during this internship. And since he'll continue to work there for the school year, he's going to work Wednesday through Friday, as those are his "lighter" class days. I'm so proud of him.

Kaitlin bought a new laptop today, so I inherited her old one. I'm not a big laptop fan, but it will be nice to use when traveling, or when needed upstairs since my desktop is in the basement.

My friend Tracy's cat was gone for a month this summer and came back like nothing happenend. So don't give up hope!

VACATION

On vacation for a few days (return to work on Thursday)...here's where I wish I was... I plan on enjoying some peace and quiet...and possibly, if I get motivated, getting some cleaning and organizing done in the office area of the basement. We'll see if that motivation arrives (it's not here yet)... Good news for Park City residents...recycling came to town the first of January. We are charged $4.00 month (added onto our already high water bill); but it has lowered the price of our trash pickup. The company P.C. contracted with has a much lower price than the company we use. Our company matched the price, so our trash bills went down (considerably) AND we get to recycle. We can recycle almost all our plastics, newspapers, cardboard, aluminum cans, cereal boxes, glass, motor oil, etc. We've got two big bags to set out tomorrow. Just doin' our part for the environment. We are without hot water right now...our hot water heater needs a new thermo-couple? It's a fair

K-STATE WINS!

K-STATE beat KU! AWESOME! It was a tense game. Corby is a huge KU fan, and even having a son at K-State hasn't changed that. I am happy when any Kansas team does well; but I had to root for K-State tonight. If the Jayhawks had to lose, I'm glad it was to K-State. Michael Beasley is a great player, and my only concern is that he will leave after his freshman year and go pro. WAY TO GO CATS!
