Enough Kenny Chesney!

I like lots of different kinds of music (70's/80's rock is my fave), including country music. But what is the deal with Kenny Chesney ALWAYS winning the Entertainer of the Year award? I like Kenny, but there are other deserving entertainers out there. I would have been happy if ANY of the other 4 nominees -- Brad Paisley, Rascal Flatts, Keith Urban or George Strait -- had won. I was happy to see Sugarland win the Duo award; and Brad Paisley winning Male Vocalist. I'm not a Carrie Underwood fan either, so was less than thrilled that she won female vocalist. I'm a Martina McBride fan. I was excited to see the Eagles perform! Their new CD is great! Once an Eagles fan, always an Eagles fan!Big news at work today. We now have a woman publisher!Pam Siddall comes to the Eagle from Georgia. Welcome Pam!

I love Kenny, but I would have liked to see Rascal Flatts or Brad Paisley win, but that's okay.
Did you totally cry when Kellie Pickler did her song? OMG, I did.
You know who I don't like...Big & Rich. Enough already. Sorry I just had to say it.

GREAT GREAT news for our publisher. I'm super excited.

I did cry when Kellie Pickler sang her song! I think it's so great that's she's made a success of her life with what she's gone through.

I'm not a Big & Rich fan either, though I've liked a couple of their songs.

K-STATE WINS!

K-STATE beat KU! AWESOME! It was a tense game. Corby is a huge KU fan, and even having a son at K-State hasn't changed that. I am happy when any Kansas team does well; but I had to root for K-State tonight. If the Jayhawks had to lose, I'm glad it was to K-State. Michael Beasley is a great player, and my only concern is that he will leave after his freshman year and go pro. WAY TO GO CATS!

Fun times with Lenore

While Lenore and Daniel were here, she had a library book panel at the Johnson County Library in Overland Park. So, on Tuesday afternoon, November 27th, Lenore, her friend Rachelle and I took off for KC. We had a great time visiting on the way up and back, and I didn't get tired at all driving! We stopped for a quick bite to eat at Arby's and filled up with gas at QT before heading to the library. It was an interesting panel featuring Bethany Hagen, author of Landry Park, which comes out next year; Gennifer Albin, author of Crewel, which was released a few months ago; and Lenore, whose book will be released on January 15. Here's the panel: Me & Lenore: Lenore & Rachelle: Gennifer, Bethany and Lenore
