Longaberger Sale

I know I mentioned a few posts ago that I was collecting some of my Longaberger baskets and planning a sale. I spent the day today organizing my baskets, taking pictures of them, and making a listing of what I have and what I am selling them for. I'm going to post a few photos here. For those of you who are interested, I have photos of over 30 baskets. Let me know if you'd like me to e-mail you any of the photos, and the descriptive list. All of these baskets but one are retired, and I have a variety - from Christmas to Easter to May Series to Horizon of Hope. ENJOY!
This is the 2000 Founder’s Market basket, protector & lid. I have never used this basket, it's been stored in a box for over 7 years!

This basket was created to honor Dave Longaberger, the founder of Longaberger. Dave helped develop the unique stair-step weaving style, planning to save it for some special occasion in the future. Little did he know that it would be used to honor and commemorate his life. (He passed away in 1999). The basket measures 14 1/2" x 9 1/2" x 7 1/2" and features 1/4" weaving. It took the weavers two to three times longer than any other basket to complete. In fact, it is the most difficult
basket they have ever made. It is a true work of art! This basket combo
is selling on E-bay for $250+.

1998 & 2001 Horizon of Hope baskets, 2000 May Series Geranium basket and tall tissue basket - the only one I believe is still available.

I'd love to see a list, Linda. I'll talk to you about it at work.

Linda, I would like to see a list too. I'm home sick and probably won't be in until Thursday. Never thought I would be anxious to go to the office :0)

Do you have a laundry hamper in the mix? I need one for a Christmas gift for the daughter in law.

VACATION

On vacation for a few days (return to work on Thursday)...here's where I wish I was... I plan on enjoying some peace and quiet...and possibly, if I get motivated, getting some cleaning and organizing done in the office area of the basement. We'll see if that motivation arrives (it's not here yet)... Good news for Park City residents...recycling came to town the first of January. We are charged $4.00 month (added onto our already high water bill); but it has lowered the price of our trash pickup. The company P.C. contracted with has a much lower price than the company we use. Our company matched the price, so our trash bills went down (considerably) AND we get to recycle. We can recycle almost all our plastics, newspapers, cardboard, aluminum cans, cereal boxes, glass, motor oil, etc. We've got two big bags to set out tomorrow. Just doin' our part for the environment. We are without hot water right now...our hot water heater needs a new thermo-couple? It's a fair

Fun times with Lenore

While Lenore and Daniel were here, she had a library book panel at the Johnson County Library in Overland Park. So, on Tuesday afternoon, November 27th, Lenore, her friend Rachelle and I took off for KC. We had a great time visiting on the way up and back, and I didn't get tired at all driving! We stopped for a quick bite to eat at Arby's and filled up with gas at QT before heading to the library. It was an interesting panel featuring Bethany Hagen, author of Landry Park, which comes out next year; Gennifer Albin, author of Crewel, which was released a few months ago; and Lenore, whose book will be released on January 15. Here's the panel: Me & Lenore: Lenore & Rachelle: Gennifer, Bethany and Lenore
