Yippee It's Friday!

It's been a really long week at work - depressing because of the job eliminations announced on Monday. Several of the folks who are losing their positions have very positive attitudes. Derl, Chris - you rock! May God bless you in your future endeavors!

I had to run checks over to my "Party Lite" consultant tonight. I ended up getting almost $365 worth of Party Lite for $9.95! Thanks all for such a great party. I can't wait to get my goodies!

Corby and I went to Leeker's when I got home. It's double $1 coupon week, so of course, I was loaded up with coupons. For those of you who don't shop at Leeker's - I know it's in Park City - you need to pay attention. They do double $1 coupons about every 5 or 6 weeks. I got toothbrushes for a quarter, Tylenol for .94 and some frozen goodies for $1 or less. I am definitely a coupon clipper! I've had to be with 3 kids. I don't think I'll ever stop. It takes a little time, but it's definitely worth it.

I'm listening to the soundtrack from "Jesus Christ Superstar". Have you ever seen the movie? I know you will think I'm crazy - but I've seen the movie over 100 times! I was obsessed with it when I was in my 20's. They used to show it every Christmas and Easter at the movie theatre, and I would go time and time again, by myself if I had to. I know all the lyrics by heart. Let me know if you want to borrow the movie. Ted Neeley - who didn't act in much else - played Jesus. I LOVE THIS MOVIE! "You are the power and the glory - forever and ever".
I am currently reading "Obsession" by Jonathon Kellerman - yes - another favorite author. I've barely started it, but it looks like another good one!

so funny - I love Jesus Christ Superstar. Now I have the song stuck in my head - thanks Linda! I have been trying to find a copy to share with my husband who has never seen it. My mom used to have it but hasn't seen it since the divorce a couple of years ago!

good quote. :)

and lord... coupon clipper... my mom was the same way when all us kids were growing up. and we'd be drivin' to three different grocery stores too -- based on their ads. do you have one of those coupon boxes too??

I have a plastic container with coupons, but I don't have them filed. Just go thru them once a week and trash the expired ones and pull out the ones I think I'll use before I go to the store. Takes a little time, but saves us quite a bit!

And Jennifer, I ordered my DVD of JCS from Amazon.com.

VACATION

On vacation for a few days (return to work on Thursday)...here's where I wish I was... I plan on enjoying some peace and quiet...and possibly, if I get motivated, getting some cleaning and organizing done in the office area of the basement. We'll see if that motivation arrives (it's not here yet)... Good news for Park City residents...recycling came to town the first of January. We are charged $4.00 month (added onto our already high water bill); but it has lowered the price of our trash pickup. The company P.C. contracted with has a much lower price than the company we use. Our company matched the price, so our trash bills went down (considerably) AND we get to recycle. We can recycle almost all our plastics, newspapers, cardboard, aluminum cans, cereal boxes, glass, motor oil, etc. We've got two big bags to set out tomorrow. Just doin' our part for the environment. We are without hot water right now...our hot water heater needs a new thermo-couple? It's a fair

Fun times with Lenore

While Lenore and Daniel were here, she had a library book panel at the Johnson County Library in Overland Park. So, on Tuesday afternoon, November 27th, Lenore, her friend Rachelle and I took off for KC. We had a great time visiting on the way up and back, and I didn't get tired at all driving! We stopped for a quick bite to eat at Arby's and filled up with gas at QT before heading to the library. It was an interesting panel featuring Bethany Hagen, author of Landry Park, which comes out next year; Gennifer Albin, author of Crewel, which was released a few months ago; and Lenore, whose book will be released on January 15. Here's the panel: Me & Lenore: Lenore & Rachelle: Gennifer, Bethany and Lenore
