Fidder on the Roof - Crown Uptown

I have always enjoyed the play "Fiddler on the Roof". Perhaps because I was an usher many years ago when my high school performed it. I think I saw it about 8 times while ushering, and it remains my favorite play years later. Briefly, it's about a family living in Anatevka, a small village in Russia and it takes place in 1905, on the eve of the Russian Revolutionary Period. Corby took me and the kids to see it last night, and my best friend Melody came along for the fun. The food was good and the play was wonderful. Rob Summers (Tevye) was great. Beth Wise played Golde, and she is a wonderful actress but I wasn't all that impressed with her singing voice. The rest of the cast was really good, and we thoroughly enjoyed the production. Surprisingly, Kaleb thought it was great, but Kaitlin was less impressed (and she has a musical background!). We had great seats, right down by the stage. I would recommend this play to anyone. However, if you want to see it, make reservations now. It ends on November 9.

Here is the girls side of the table:Now the guys side:
I am currently listening to the new Pink CD "Funhouse". I've only recently heard her music (where I have been the last few years?), but I've bought 2 of her CD's now and totally love both of them! Yes, that's a parental advisory sticker. I figure since the kids are 17 and 19 (almost 18 and 20) we can live with the lyrics. They're not all that bad anyway.

Current read is Lost Souls by Lisa Jackson. I'm about halfway through, and it's a pretty good read. It's based on a vampire theme, but the evil is strictly of this world rather than supernatural.

And if you haven't already voted (I did by mail) get out there Tuesday and vote. No matter who your choice is, you can't complain if you don't vote!!!!!

What's Good

Here's what's good right now: 1. Corby's OKAY after an accident at work today! He was on the forklift pulling onto a truck when the truck driver pulled away from the dock apparently to reallign himself (WHAT AN IDIOT DRIVER!!!) and he fell off the dock. Thank goodness there is a roll-bar on those forklifts. He has a headache and will probably be stiff tomorrow, but says he is okay. They sent him for a drug test. It's their policy if someone has an accident at work. 2. Feeling much better. I'm about 75% well now. Still have a cough and some sinus issues, but I think I'll survive. 3. Spending today with Kaleb & Kaitlin. 4. Having such good kids. Leeker's just called Kaitlin to see if she'd work longer hours today. They have a lot of employees out sick. She was supposed to work 4-8, but volunteered to work 2-9. Here's a pat on the back hon! 5. Enjoying some Josh Groban music. 6. Cleaning out my file cabinet and getting ready for 2008. I know, I...
