Life with Kids Again...

The boys both came home last night for spring break -- Kaleb, via Lawrence, where he picked a friend up at KU. She lives near us here in Park City, and she's without a car right now, so he did the noble thing and gave her a ride home. Brandon -- via Junction City, where he dropped one of their roommates off so he could catch a bus to Minnesota where he lives. Kaitlin will be home tomorrow around noon because she had to work today. We watched the K-State / Baylor game when they got home. Here are the guys watching the game:

Today was spent running around...went to visit mom, stopped at Verizon so Brandon could buy a new phone; Corby ran to Bed, Bath & Beyond while we were in Verizon to buy part of Kaitlin's birthday present, stopped at Michael's, Target and then Dillons. We were all tired of shopping by the time we got home.

The boy's friend Brady came over tonight to watch the KU / K-State basketball game. KU ended up winning the Big 12 Championship game. Congrats to them, tho Brady, the boys and I were rooting for the Wildcats...

I bought a new purse at Kohl's this week.

I am not a big purse freak. In fact, I carry one for a year or two until it wears out, and then buy a new one. But I got a good deal on this one. It was already on sale, and I got another 20% off. Hope it lasts for a while!

Have my Powerball tickets in hand, hoping to win that $200 million dollar purse tonight! Wish me luck!

Looking forward to a couple of days vacation while the kids are here. I go back to work on Wednesday, which is when Brandon has to go back to work. The twins will be here until Sunday. We are having a family birthday celebration with my family tomorrow - celebrating the twins 19th birthday which is Monday, and my sister-in-law's birthday which is on St. Patty's day. I won't mention her age. LOL! We're meeting at On The Border (west) and I know we'll have a great time. Wish my niece, Lenore & her hubby Daniel could be here, as well as my nephews Eric & Ryan. Someday we will ALL be together as a family! Kind of hard with Lenore and Daniel in Germany, and Eric and his family in California.

Got a good offer from Mystery Guild today, so of course I signed up! Gotta have those books coming in all the time, voracious reader that I am!
Oh, and I bought tickets this week to the REO Speedwagon / Pat Benatar concert at Intrust Bank Arena in July. Got 6th row on the floor! YIPPEE! I've seen REO numerous times, but have never seen Pat. Really looking forward to it!

Sounds like your days will be full. Enjoy the kids, have a great family birthday dinner tomorrow and TRY not to think about work.

Isn't This Gross?

Corby lets Muffin drink out of his milk glass. Isn't that disgusting? I love animals, but I sure don't share my drinks with them. YUCK! Brandon will be home tomorrow - on his 19th birthday! His last final is at 12:30. Corby & Kaleb are headed up to help him bring his stuff home. I was planning on going, but because Hope is out on medical leave, I can't take off. That's okay - I really wasn't looking forward to carrying his stuff down 7 flights of stairs! YIPPEE - MY BABY IS COMING HOME FOR THE SUMMER! Does anyone else out there love "House Hunters" - the show on HGTV? For some reason, that show grabs me. I like to see the 3 houses the couples (sometimes singles) choose from. Of course, most of them have a lot more money than we do! Saw one last night that was a young couple in Chicago - lived in the inner city, but with 2 kids decided to move to the suburbs. Their goal was to find a house for under $1,000,000. That a million dollars folks! How can peop...

Terrible Day

I'm not going to go into a lot of detail here, but suffice it to say that I had a TERRIBLE day at work! I made a huge mistake costing the company some revenue, and I feel awful! I certainly didn't need anyone to get on my butt, because I was kicking myself for the better part of the day. I know, I know, I'm human, but this was a BIG human mistake! I hate to admit that I'm human! HATE TO MAKE MISTAKES - ESPECIALLY BIG ONES! Okay, that's it. I'm having a margarita and trying to relax now. I'm done with being human for a while!
